Cassius Marcellus Coolidge, 1844-1934, was an American artist, mainly known for his series of paintings Dogs Playing Poker.
He had little formal training as an artist; one of his early jobs being the creation of cartoons for a local newspaper.
Poker Game was sold for USD 658,000 in 2015.
