Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change. As defined by The American Art Therapy Association (AATA), art therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. 

While Craft-Ease™ does not provide a qualified art therapist in the support of art therapy, Craft-Ease™ makes creative craft kits easily available to everyone so that people can use to experience the creation of art from their home. The essence of art therapy is the experience or the journey of delving into the inner thoughts and emotions by the use of media or tools such as paint, paper, pen and clay. 

Art therapy activities are meditative, quiet, and calming, which helps soothe symptoms of stress, nervousness, and irritability. It is considered an effective treatment to mitigate stress and burnout at work (Regev and Cohen-Yatziv, 2018). On a professional level, qualified art therapists work with people who are challenged with medical and mental health problems, as well as individuals seeking emotional, creative, and spiritual growth.
