We had the pleasure to interview Indonesian artist Afriyan Rahmadan who specializes in colorful WPAP pop art style turning portraits into beautiful art:

1. How did you become an artist?

It is hard to tell how I become an artist. I simply followed my intuition when creating my arts.

2. What inspires your art? Where and how do you find inspiration?

This might sounds weird, but I found my inspiration inside myself and I feel nobody could inspire me better than myself. My whole life as well as my life experience is the main source of my inspiration.

3. What does your art mean to you?

I always love and appreciate my art because I always work to the fullest when creating my art. My arts are very important to me, they are the embodiment of my hard work and dedication.

4. What is the most valuable piece of art to you?

For me, art that can make others happy when they see it is the most valuable art. It is a thing that I have not been able to create.

5. How do you overcome your creative blocks?

Creative blocks always come unexpectedly and it often comes to me at the worst time. When I got creative block, I simply think about why I love my art in the first place. That way I am able to inspire myself to overcome my creative block..

6. Would you describe the experience or feelings you have when creating your art?

It is always different every time I create my art. However, I always feel one thing in general: I want the artwork that I was making to be the best artwork I have. I want to improve my art quality more and more.
